Dennis Bradford

Mr. Dennis Bradford founded Benaiah Consulting in 2020 to address the resource challenges faced by many small to mid-sized businesses in hiring a full-time COO. By providing fractional COOs with high-level operational expertise on a part-time basis, he enables businesses to access strategic support without the commitment of a full-time COO. Our team not only focuses on fractional COOs but also specializes in delivering advanced group and individual leadership training programs.

Prior to establishing Benaiah Consulting, Mr. Bradford dedicated over a decade managing & coordinating security operations in the Port of Charleston for the Dept of Homeland Security. His role encompassed the establishment of strategic partnerships spanning both private & public sectors. Additionally, he served as the leader of the Charleston Area Maritime Security Committee (AMSC) & the SeaHawk Interagency Operations Center. Under his leadership the Charleston AMSC was selected as the 2017 AMSC of the year, earning the Port of Charleston the title of safest port in the U.S.

Before starting his tenure in the Port of Charleston, Mr. Bradford spent 15 years in law enforcement. His journey in law enforcement commenced as a police officer in the City of Charleston, SC. He subsequently served as a Maryland State Trooper & worked as a Special Agent with Immigration & Customs Enforcement.

Apart from his civilian career, Mr. Bradford has dedicated nearly three decades to serving as a military reservist, holding leadership roles at the tactical, operational, & strategic levels. Following a 14-year tenure in the Marine Corps Reserves, during which he attained the rank of Gunnery Sergeant & led Marines in Fallujah & Ramadi, Iraq, Mr. Bradford transitioned to the Coast Guard Reserves upon receiving a commission. As a member of the Coast Guard Reserves Mr Bradford has led in nearly all mission areas including law enforcement, hurricane response, & Department of Defense liaison. Lieutenant Commander Bradford currently leads all Coast Guard reservists serving in South Carolina & Georgia.

Mr. Bradford is a graduate of Appalachian State University, where he received his Bachelors of Science Degree in Criminal Justice. He enjoys Low Country living in Charleston, SC with his wife Dana & their three children, Parker (19), Emma Grace (16), & Cole (14).
